We have a target to come up with products
that meet the requirements of the world’s
diverse classes and society. Domestic and
overseas sales networks will make it possible
to distribute and maintain our image of an
international motorcycle company. Research
into products and technology for the future
will form the foundation for growth of Daelim
Motors.

The R&D activities
of Daelim Motor’s R&D Center are
primarily divided largely into the initial
investigation phase and a development &
research phase.
During the initial investigation phase, Daelim
Motor research technicians examine advanced
element technologies to determine those most
suited to applications in our core industries.
During the development and research phase,
the results of prior research, in cooperation
with the production and sales divisions, are
integrated into products to provide enhanced
customer satisfaction.
Daelim Motor’s Research & Development
Center, armed with the technologies and modern
facilities accumulated over the past 20 years,
performs innovative, critical research activities
in conjunction with the world’s most
renowned R&D institutes. Daelim Motor
has independently developed the frames and
engines used on a variety of motorcycles ranging
from our 50cc Family Bike to our 125cc American
Customer models. Daelim Motor also is planning
to develop larger displacement engines and
new models to satisfy the demands of our international
customers.
In order to effectively respond to the environmental
regulations imposed upon each country of the
world, Daelim Motor has successfully conducted
comprehensive studies in techniques to reduce
emissions and noise. We have as an ultimate
objective of developing a new pollution free
manufacturing process and zero-emission system
for our products. An electric powered scooter
is being tested as one means of meeting our
objective.
In preparation for the depletion of energy
and natural resources, Daelim Motor also is
performing research into high-performance
and highly efficient engines and more aerodynamic
motorcycle designs. New materials to improve
rider safety and comfort are also being investigated
and developed.
